Gray Oil Policy Manual Policy No. 550

We make every effort to provide safe working conditions for our employees and to observe government safety regulations. No one knowingly will be required to work in an unsafe manner or environment.

Terms and Safey of Gray Oil

 

Safety is every employee’s responsibility and it is imperative that you follow our guidelines and safety practices. You are requested to do everything reasonable and necessary to keep the company a safe place to work.

Employees must be aware of their responsibilities to the company and to fellow employees. We will take a constructive approach to disciplinary matters to ensure actions, which would interfere with operations or an employee’s job, are not continued.

 

Violations of personal conduct and safety rules will result in one of the following forms of disciplinary action:

  • Verbal warning
  • Written warning
  • Discharge
  • Partial loss of workers compensation benefits if injured due to a safety rule violation.
     

In arriving at a decision for proper actions, the following will be considered:

  1. Falsification of company records, including employment application and time cards.
  2. Willful repeated violations of safety rules and/or production procedures.
  3. Insubordination or refusal to comply with instructions or failure to perform reasonable duties assigned.
  4. Theft, fraud, or violation of criminal laws on company premised and/or job site.
  5. Fighting, horseplay, practical jokes, or other disorderly conduct which may endanger the well-being of any
  6. employee or company operations.
  7. Threatening, intimidating, coercing, using language or otherwise interfering with the performance of fellow employee.
  8. Immoral or indecent conduct on company premises.
  9. Verbal or physical conduct constituting sexual harassment.
  10. Unauthorized circulation of petitions, making solicitations and taking collections.
  11. Use of company material, time or equipment for the manufacture of production of an article for unauthorized purposes for personal use.
  12. Excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
  13. Performance that does not meet the requirements of the position.
  14. Engaging in such other practices as may be inconsistent with the ordinary and reasonable rules of conduct necessary to the welfare of the company and its employee, e.g. drugs or intoxication.
